As well as the enjoyment, there were of course plenty of wins and PBs to satisfy the hunger for success.. We had breaststrokers winning sprint and distance freestyle events, and some surprising wins against quality opposition in a number of other events! Had there been a medal table, our final position would have been impressive to say the least:

42 GOLDS - 19 SILVERS - 23 BRONZES

In additon, we won 3 of the 4 Medley Skins events. These were based on 200m IM heat swims, and we had a number of swimmers in each the 14/under and the 15/over categories each of the 2 days. The strokes were selected at random from the 'mystery bag' and there were up to 7 rounds of 50m contested as the last placed swimmer in each round was eliminated.

Our winners were: Daniel Sliwinski (Mens), Tony Lucas (Boys) and Lucy Davis (Girls). Steph Slater finished a close 2nd in the Womens, and Amelia Candon battled hard with Lucy to finish 2nd in the Girls.

We had 2 BAGCAT winners, who accumulated strong points scores across a range of events over the weekend, they were: Lucy Davis (Girls 13yrs) & Tony Lucas (Boys 14yrs)- great job guys!

All in all, this was a meet well worth attending, we had several new National Qualifying times, with Mattie Hargreaves gaining his 1st national times for a number of seasons, whilst some of our other swimmers added to their collection!
