Sarah Lucas is the 1.75Km 2009 National Champion in the Girls 15yrs Age Group! She swam a tough race in the 18 degree open water and used all her experience to claim gold for Gallica!!

James Radcliffe also braved the icy waters to contend the Mens 3Km event and came home in second spot to claim silver gor Gallica!! Having led the race, he was just outdone at the very end losing oout to Stephen Waterhouse of Leeds.

Now both swimmers will head back to Sheffield to compete at the Youth & Senior Pool competition which starts tomorrow...
Max Butler swam the Age Group open water in the afternoon session at the Rother Valley, finishing in an impressive 4th position in his age group! Well done to Max - great job!!
