I am 28 years old and have been coaching for 5 years now. Previous positions I have held prior to being Head Coach of Gallica are A squad coach Preston Swimming Club and Assistant Chief coach Gallica. The qualifications I hold are ASA Club Coach and Gym Instructor.
My coaching achievements so far are helping Gallica to 7th position at the age group national championships 2005, in 2006 helping the age groupers win the national championships with a total of 11 gold 5 silver and 3 bronze medals!!
In my swimming career I was a national youth champion as well as national champion, I was captain of the European junior team 1997 where I won 3 medals, in 1998 I swam in Kula Lumper at Commonwealth games,1999 I competed at the World short course Athens and also made the great Britain Olympic Team Sydney 2000.
My coaching influences include some of the world's best coaches that I have been lucky enough to come into contact with both as a swimmer and a coach but my old coach and friend Dave Evitts would be upset if I did not give him a mention.
My most important quality is never compromise.
My best swimmer of all time is Kieron Perkins, a true great competitor.
My ambition is to be the best possible coach I can be.
