John Dougall, East Coach
I am 30 years old, and over the past 3 years have been involved in various teaching and coaching roles, culminating in becoming coach of the East Squad at Gallica this year.

As a swimmer, I was both Scottish and British Age Group Champion, Scottish Junior Mens Champion, and held both Scottish and National Age Group records. I was a member of the Scottish Swim Squads between 1989 and 1993, making team captain in 1992.

My coaching has been greatly influenced by Gallica Chief Coach, Rob Greenwood, and former Chief Coach, Dave Evitts. Their experience and insight has proved invaluable in allowing me to get to my current position.

My best qualities are my positive outlook and enthusiasm.

My best swimmers of all time are Adrian Moorhouse and Alex Popov.

My ambition is to become the best I can be as a Coach, and maintain Gallica's success now, and in the future.
